MetroCoal Limited is an Australian mineral resources exploration company with substantial exploration interests in the Surat Basin and surrounding areas. The company is a 56 percent-owned subsidiary of successful mineral exploration company Metallica Minerals Limited (ASX:MLM). MetroCoal has strong foundations and considerable potential as a leading coal exploration company utilising cutting edge new technologies to access surface and deep coal deposits.

MetroCoal currently operates several exploration tenements in south-west Queensland with rich potential, covering an expansive area of 4,000 km².
