Juandah Project

MetroCoal's Juandah Project Area east of Bundi contains an Inferred Resource of 224 Mt and an Indicated Resource of 24 Mt.

The project area was initially selected as an underground coal gasification (UCG) target as there is no overlapping gas tenure.

Since then, the Queensland Government has commenced a formal process to review the outcomes of several UCG pilots and will develop a UCG policy based on the results.

Application has been made for an MDL over the Juandah Project Area and the resource has been redefined for conventional underground mining presenting a longer term opportunity to expand mining in EPC 1164.
